Today’s Teens and their First Screens: a conversation about mobile phones in education

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

With learners of all ages carrying mobile phones, let’s talk about how they’re being used in your schools.  With dynamic capacities and super powers, their potential for helping students personalize education and demonstrate proficiency seems amazing.  This is particularly true when paired with the various other mobile devices offered in schools.  Yet we know their distraction potential is pretty high as well.  Couple this with an insatiable appetite for communication, and our central question is framed.  So let’s talk about ideas, perspectives, management strategies and engaging pedagogies.  Let’s curate and share the many great practices surrounding cell phones sure to be happening in Vermont.
